Troubles with B-Cables and K+Dcan and windows 10

Hello my son and I purchased the Bcables K+Dcan setup for our e60 and e46 cars. We installed the software on my laptop (64 bit windows 10) and everything went ok.

followed the directions supplied and connected to vehicle and nothing. cannot identify vehicle, and if I manual identify the vehicle it only lets me see the DME.

Progman/SSS doesn not load correctly and also will not connect to the vehicle.

didn't try the others but I am assuming the windows 10 is the problem.

anyone get this to work? anyone care to guide me through this with out making it sound like I am a dumb ass.. (which I probably am)

    thanks

I would verify that your COM port settings match first.
