After my S54 E46 Touring transplant, the car has a parasitic draw that is killing the battery. (That is being worked on - long slog !!) The last time this happened, after recharging the battery, everything (I think) is functioning except the A/C fan. Before the conversation goes to the fan resistor, it sounds as if the fan IS SLOOWLY turning on all fan speed selections. In using Google, "Transport Mode" is most often referenced.
Again, this is a swap car. The host E46 325i is originally a 2001 model with an M54B25, NOT M52TU. The S54 is a 2002 S54 with its DME. That said, I am assuming this issue is about a body module, not the engine module.
Thoughts?
Have you replaced the Blower Motor Resistor?
Common cause of parasitic drain.
Well --- surprise surprise ............... fuse 40 (visually) checked good. I put it back in and POOF !!!!!!!!!! The fan works.
I would start shopping for a final stage unit. They fail in all sorts of ways. Some have the fan running with the key off, some have no fan at all, some cause erratic blower motor function and some cause the blower to run on high no matter what the panel is set on. It's not difficult or expensive.

No, the 50 amp fuse is in the fuse panel.
It was not the 50 amp fuse. There is a smaller, 30 amp fuse that was the culprit. I think it was F20.
According to my fuse chart fuse slot 20 is empty.
