I'm looking at purchasing a set of lowering springs with 2 inch drop.
both cars are currently at stock height.
An E36 320i and E36 316i.
Rims are Style18 R17 ET41 8.5 at the rear.
Tires 225/45/R17
Plenty of room in front but the rear looks like it will rub if I drop 2 inches.
Need some advice If I should have the cars fender rolled first before buying the springs.
Stock size tire for factory 8.5” wide rim is 245/40-17.
225/45-17 is generally fit to a 7.5” rim.
Clean the under coating sealer out of the lip and be prepared roll the lips. The 225/45-17 stretched on an 8.5” wheel will most likely clear.
A fender roller in the states is pretty inexpensive these days from Eastwood or ECS Tuning
