    2008 335i Coupe - brakes upgrade

I am going to replace rotors and pads on a 2008 335I coupe and was wondering if any upgrades are worth looking into or just stay with the original equipment for replacement parts? Cost is not an issue really but don't want to go crazy.

    Hi, Kerry
Huh! I bought a 2011 335i X Drive Coupe in April this year. First thing I did, because the rotors looked kind of mealy, used, bumpy-whatever-was to replace the rotors and pads with Stoptech slotted (but not drilled) rotors and street pads. I then followed Stoptech's carefully crafted procedure for seating the pads-an important item for developing the correct pad/rotor surface condtions. That was about 5,000 miles back, and the system works really well; no noises, very smooth braking, very little dust on the front wheels. I took it to a High Performance Driving Event at Sear's Point in June, never been on a track, was a total "newbie", and had a great time; brakes never were a problem but, I have to say, I likely never exceeded 70% of the car's ability (if that much!). Oh, yeah-had the brake fluid replaced and the system bled-including the ABS unit(important). I believe i made the right decision. Good Luck!
