    Brake booster non-return valve

Has anyone ever had the non return valve 34331160183 ever fail? It’s part of the vacuum line to the brake booster. I haven’t seen or read about anyone having an issue with this part so I think it’s a long shot.

Not on a Z3 or E36, no. What symptoms are you chasing?

    Brake booster non-return valve

Soft pedal on an “M” is most likely a NLA “Bomb” or brake booster.
Folks are current having them (TRW brand - now a division of ATE) shipped from Europe, specifically France.

Pedal makes hissing sound for first 5 or 6 presses, then normal. All braking performance normal. All pedal feel normal. Nice fresh bleed and all new fluid. Maybe the booster is on the way out but I’m not convinced yet.

It's normal for the booster to hissas the pedal moves. If there is a hissing when holding steady pressure on the brake pedal, the booster has a leak.
