    S52 + Vortech V-2 SQ Si-Trim Question

I'm specifically looking for responses from individuals who have:

    • S52 Engine (Not S50, M50, M52)
    • Vortech V-2 SQ Si-Trim Supercharger

Can you please help me out with the following information?:

    • What pulley combination are you running?
    • What boost levels are you seeing at redline?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Thank you for the info! Where did you get the 3.00" pulley from? (Vortech jumps from 3.125 to 2.87)

Anyone else out there with info?

Thank you for the info Marco.

It just seems as if the blower isn't making enough boost with the 6.00 / 3.125 setup that I currently have on the car.

How much boost are you making?

are you making 12-12.5 lb boost?

if not..is your belt slipping? BPV leaking? have another boost leak? have an inaccurate boost gauge?

    ~11.5 PSI

Saw the boost gauge hit 12 once, however I hit the rev limiter too.

that is probaly right...or very close....you spin at ~ 48,300 RPM at 7000 with your V2....~ 12 lb boost....

I spin my V1 at ~ 49,800 RPM and make ~ 12.5-13 max lb boost on a warm day....

There is no definitive data on how much boost you should make..just a ballpark...between flow vs backpressure...

as I said....If you see 12 at redline..that is probaly right or very very close...

    you are looking for nothing.....

Who is going to tune for that?? 20 lb boost at 8000 RPM?

I'm looking at a compressor map right now and there's no way in hell that you'll make anywhere close to 20 psi with a V-2 Si.

If my math is correct, you'll max out at 16.9 psi overdriving the blower to 55k RPM.

Thanks Marco. I guess I'm just OCD.

Car is running like a champ after the Bosch 040 fuel pump install. Still throwing the CEL due to fuel adaptation limits - just need to get it read to see if it's now overfueling.

Miller Performance I believe, OSH said he could do it, and I believe him, otherwise I will be calling, Nick, or Mike R. Marco, that is with the new engine. The Vortech site puts that pulley impeller speed at 51157.89, if I go to 8K it puts it at 56K, what actually happens I am not sure.

No stock ECU. I heard most I can get is about 550 on stock ecu, if I get that I will be happy, but I am realistic if I can get 500 I will call it mission accomplished.

    I didn't think Mike Radowski tuned OBD2 factory ECM's......
And AA will not do it....
As far as having anyone out your way doing it....keep us posted how that works out for you....

Your having to run a custom tune to allow the 80lb injectors and the S trim? What's the powerband of the schrick cams vs stock? Thanks. Were there there any other issues in your install? Can you show a pic of the supercharger and brackets?

This post is over 11 years old. I don't think anyone from this thread even run a SC anymore.
