    MOT Failure Suspension Arm Play

Hello. I am new member and need some advice. My 520d has failed MOT due to ‘Nearside Front Suspension arm has excessive play in a pin/bush lower arm front bush’. The mechanic is saying he has to change the the front lower arm. The car drives fine and I have not felt any shaking, bubbling or any sound.

I am wondering do I really nees to change the arm or should changing the bush be sufficient? I am sorry my knowledge about cars is not great. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

If the bushing is easy to replace, then go for the bushing....unless a Lemforder Arm plus labor is less expensive than Bushing plus labor...
