    Battery Tender

I have not owned a BMW since 1982 and this week purchased a 1997 Z3 in immaculate condition. My question is about where to connect the battery tender, in the truck where the battery actually is or under the hood w here one would use the jumper cables. The car will sit for periods of time and I want to keep the battery in good condition and ready to go. Thanks.

Both my Z3s are connected under the hood.
