Replacing rear window regulators with shade

So starting to work on my long to-do list and have a question on the rear window regulators. I've seen many DYI's for rear regulators but not with the shade. Can I just pop off the door panel with the shade attached? My window is stuck in the up position, do I need to lower it to swap out the regulators?
    Thanks

Rear window stuck closed? Likely cause: child lockout switch located on driver-side switch panel. Turn it OFF.

Then, save money by rebuilding your regulator:

They're only $30 on ebay. not really worth the time and effort to rebuild

True: they're cheap. But they won't last as long as OEM. Who wants to do this job over again? Rebuilding is for those who wish to fix it permanently.

Do they need to last 20 years? very unlikely the car will still be on the road. And considering i've lowered the back windows 12 times in 12 years, i'd still go ebay specials. or roll it up and disconnect the motor all together.

Thanks for the DIY link! So I have some questions on how to remove the plastic rivet thingy behind the green cable shown in the pic.

So finally had some time today to finish this but don’t know how to take off this little plastic rivet thing. It’s where the door lock swivel attach a to.
