    Cluster coding

I bought a used cluster with the oil temperature instead of mpg. Is anyone capable of coding it for me? Obviously willing to pay.

You need more than a simple re-coding. You need the mileage and VIN erased from it then you can install it and have it coded to work correctly.

That's fine. Can you do it?

Just for everyone's info, I count a used cluster with the oil temperature instead of mpg and just unplugged the old and plugged in the new. Only problem so far is there is a little dot between the mileage and trip odometer. Everything else works perfectly.

the oil temp is accurate? Great if it is.

Does your miles show the correct amount? It can change when you install a used cluster.

The little dot is the tamper indicator. It shows the mileage may be false.

Oil temp appears to be accurate. Fluctuates between 1 and 3 lines below the 250 mark when warm and slowly moves up the scale as it warms up.

It shows my correct mileage (54xxx miles). I'm guessing the tamper dot is showing that the cluster had a different mileage before.

So, I'm pretty happy with it.
