Guys, any idea on how to replace the frame rubber trim, on the rear fixed door window? mine got damaged, and I am lost on how to change it, also I don't now the part number... please help!
I've marked it on the picture attached, it's that rubber thing, gasket whatever it is called, framing the glass, surrounding it
it drives me crazy... I should mention it is a E61, so the rear door obviously is different, but I've read someplace that the same rubber thingy, on the E60 sedan, can simply be pushed in place with a wooden flat tool, no dismantling necessary. Just remove the old one with something, then push the new one in place.
Are you talking about the cement that holds the window in place?
no, it's like a rubber gasket, framing the glass, I've pointed it out with red arrows in the pic.
This piece of trim?

yup, how do I replace it, without removing the glass and all?
Don't think it can be done without removing the glass. You need to find where you read about removing it. The chrome and black trim around it can be removed though.
horrible then...
