E93 (Vert) - Rattles in front windshield pillars (over bumps)

Hi All,

In my E93 (convertible) when going over bumps I get rattling noises in my front windshield pillars.
This is the case whether the roof is up or down.
The latching works as expected (or certainly appears to).

I'm guessing it's part of the latching mechanism - but it's noisier then I would have imagined.

Just wondering if this is common - and if anyone 'corrected' or improved on this.

2008 e93 I have the same problem only on the drivers side, I have not found a solution yet. Hope someone chimes in with one.

Interesting. Mine is much more pronounced on the driver side. Initially that is where I heard it from. Now passenger does it too.

on my 08 it was the visor mounts had rattled loose,easy to tighten

so, Codes2, soulmaker1, did tightening the visor mounts fix it?

It wasn’t the visor mounts on mine. For now I just live with it.

I did check when you posted that, thanks.
However, that's not it for me. Rattles inside both front pillars on hitting bumps.

Well, the rattling only gets worse. Survivable though. No fix in sight it seems. Just there on bumps, both sides.
Not the visors and I don't recall hearing it when the roof is down.

That said... I love my E93 on a warm clear day with the top dropped. Worth the odd rattle when top's up.
