I have a 10/1999 build date Alpina B10 with some issues with the cluster and the ABS/DSC and Transmission. On start-up tachometer does not work, and the temperature gauge will go from middle then all the way to the right to red. ABS/DSC lights go on and trans prog fail warning goes off. Car will then lose power because of the trans prog fail warning. Problem is intermittent. Sometimes car works perfectly fine and sometimes this happens. Tried unplugging the ABS/DSC module and car runs well with full power (all warning lights related to the ABS/DSC remain on of course). For some reason the BMW diagnostics computer would not communicate with the vehicle and could not give us any codes. Did some more digging through the electricals and found that when we pull fuse #9 (A/C system) the temp gauge would go back to normal and the tachometer would start working again. Here is a youtube link to the video. Sorry some of the dialogue is not in english but I guess the video gives an idea of what's happening. Again, sorry about that. Thanks!
