Screen flickering

My 2003 X5 has a screen that flickers and doesn't show anything. I have checked all the dash mount wiring, replaced the screen, tried the DVD/CD/volume buttons for about 10 seconds, and even tried pulling fuses for about 15 minutes. The screen comes on and works when I am pressing and holding the DVD eject button.

Any suggestions?

On mine I ended up replacing the DVD player in rear left.
Kinda pricey off EBay but it worked. Also bought the 2015 map DVD to upgrade the maps.
