West Los Angeles: Shop Recommendations (GT International is closed)

I tried to search, but I keep getting an error message. Does anyone have good mechanic recommendations for West Los Angeles/Santa Monica? I used to use GT International, but it seems that John, the owner, has retired and the shop is closed.

Anyone know the story on what's up with John--I hope he's OK!
