tuning with miller war chip - S50

I bought a W.A.R. chip couple of months ago ... finally doing a custom tune on my car.
I've been running a generic Conforti tune for supercharged 5-7psi I bought from Turner.

Specifically: what Java version is/are people using that works?

The Miller forums seem dead: last activity I see is from 2014. The official guidance is
    to use latest Java ...

    Thank You.

If I'm not mistaken, the Warchip software will only run on XP operating system.

Yes this is correct I also have the war chip, I have a windows 10 computer and so I had to go and download a program called Oracle VM Virtualbox and then download a copy of window xp and open windows xp through that program. I believe I have service pack 3 but I dont think this matters worked sucessfully for me but I haven't got to where you are at. Im still working on hardware but I'm curious to see how and where you have run the tune selector cable if you have already

There is a thread or faq on the war chip forums telling you which version of java to run. I fought the same issue for a while

This is what scares me about this chip. Theres not as much support besides miller themselves.

Sorry to hear that. It is well known that Miller's WAR chip didn't do well because it sucks.

I'm scared to finish my turbo car with the WAR chip because of this
