Hi everyone ! im new to this forum!
I just recently picked up my first E30 87 325es to be exact and not sure if it was a good idea or bad idea
so far what it needs from what I can see is a straightening of the front core support, fix the situation with the rear quarter panels, and fix the trunk hinge. these are probably the most important pieces of the car right now.
the front core support is there, but the previous owner welded it on horribly and is at an angle. what would be the best solution to fix this? have a body shop straighten it or get a new core support and weld it new one in?
the next one is the rear quarters. it was rolled and cut and looks terrible! my thought is to cut it off and just add fender flares from kamotors...
and the trunk hinge looks as though it is broken on the driver side. the hinge that connects to the body of the car is snapped off. probably my best bet is to go to a welder and ask to get a new one welded back in.
the other things are very minor and just need to interior pieces. I will be asking a bunch of questions as this will be my first E30. However, it is nice to meet all of you guys! if you guys have any suggestions or parts that you can donate to my struggle it wouldnt mind haha
wow. that's rough. I don't know.
No e30s again.
Yeah, now that he ^^ said it I agree. The “s” parts you have would be great to swap into another chassis so find a cheap roller and make yourself a nice car.
if you have time and just want to work for a while then go for it, but dang, I think you could find another chassis and build yourself a nice car.
