Top Reset Battery Question

If your battery is not fully charged, would this keep you from resetting your top. I Think my battery is bad. When resetting the top the tourneau cover will start to move and then nothing just stop. Checked voltage and one time it was 11.7 and 12.6 volts.

battery should be 12.5 minimum with the car off, >13.5 when running. These are just rough voltage readings but enough to tell you if the battery is bad or charging system not working.
I do not think a low battery would prevent the top resetting.

Of course a low battery will keep the top from working, I never operate the top unless the engine is running. I suppose it's okay to operate the top without the engine running, but if the top stops mid-sequence then you need the engine running to finish.

Yup, the top is a power pig. Only use it with the engine off if you have a good, fresh battery. I believe the owners manual says this as well.
