Pretty sure I want to add front-track-width primarily to increase front grip.
I see guys running lots of rear-track-width and I don't know why. Logic tells me adding rear-track would add rear grip. On stock power, adding rear grip seems counterproductive.
Any insights would be appreciated.
adding track width removes grip, at least that's what I have in my notes from Chelsea's class.
adding too much removes side grip or something like that.

I've been wondering this too. In one of Chelsea's videos, he says a wider rear track width reduces side bite. I'm wondering how much?
like will I loose 20% side bite if it is 1" wider? Or more like loosing 50% at 1"?
Personally I like my rears to be as wide as my fronts for aesthetics, but I'm also searching for more grip.
