I'm looking to by a 1993 850 6spd , it's badge 850ci with the M70. how can I tell if its a ci or i
Run the last seven of the vin number thru reloem.com
thanks it came back as a 850CI 6spd
1993s are Ci models, but with the M70 engine. The M73 didn't start until 1994, and I believe there are some of both versions made that year. The "Ci" designation doesn't equate to the M73 engine until later years. 1993 was also (pretty sure) the last year for non-CSi 850 6-speeds, and there weren't many that year.

Deal fell through, Nice guy, nice car , but he really wasn't ready to sell it. He forgot to mention that he was still working on the car so I'm still looking for a Back, blue or Red 1993 850ci 6spd, ready to buy ASAP (before the wife changes her mind). finders fee negotiable
Fairly rare breed with the 6-speed, but here is a red 91 (not mine, but I do have an auto 91 in red).

My Cars - 1991 BMW 850i - mine for fun, 1993 Saab 900c - mine for fun, 2008 Lexus is250 - my daily driver, 2003 Dodge Durango - my wife's, 1994 Acura Legend - gave it to kid
I just listed my 1992 850i 6 speed with 37k original miles on Bring-A-Trailer. Not sure if you need a 1993, but they are the same car. It's black/black and has extensive documentation and service history. It spent the first 24 years in Southern CA with the original owner, so there is ZERO rust. I'm the second owner and all maintenance is current. Not sure when the auction will go live, but I approved the listing last night. The listing is very detailed with lots of photos and videos.
