Vanity Light and other LED stuff

Was installing colored interior LED lights and discovered my vanity/visor lights aren't working. I don't think it's a blown fuse as my other interior lights are working. I read that a connection in the visor can cause problems but that was on an e36.

What is the most efficient way to circumvent the "Low Beam" and "License Plate" OBD messages when converting to LED.

Also, all this lighting stuff has gotten me very interested in adding the euro fog lights for the rear. I know there is a "right way" to do it but is it possible to chain the fog lights to the tail lights or would that cause a catastrophic failure.

    I greatly appreciate any advice!

The question is if you can pass the inspection with that mod if the rear fogs are always on. Where I live there are strict rules when they can be used, the right way is this https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_z...h6Z3VHQU0/edit

(I am not sure, but does that only work when light parking/headlight is on? Check owners manual)

Thanks for the response. California has some odd car rules but luckily rear fog lights, at least how they appear on the e32, would not get me pulled over. I've only had vehicles inspected when using them for a driving exam or when registering an out of state vehicle.

I'll get some reading done at work today and hopefully get some hands on time as well. Thanks again!
