I just had my first day of heavy rain driving in my stripped E36 chassis. I took on board water on both sides of the passenger compartment and the trunk. Where is all this stuff getting in?
If God meant for man to motor-swap LS engines into track cars, He wouldn't have created Corvettes.
Sunroof drains might be clogged. Which will make it drain into the car. Or when you stripped the car you cut or broke the drain lines. hope this helps.
Ya, most common reason is sunroof drains, however did you remove the trunk lid seal?
Also these can get old and leak.

Thanks I’ll check those drains. Where do they start and end?
It would be immensely helpful to us internet guessers if you post a photo of the interior. "Stripped" means very different things to different people.
Ah! My bad. Let me see what I can come up with.

The tubes originate in the sunroof cassette and run down through the C-pillars, into the trunk area and out from there. If you pulled the tubes and didn't seal up the sunroof area, that's a really good place to start.
I checked it out, and all 4 sunroof tubes are still clamped up tight at each of the corners.
Should I maybe pour water on the sunroof from the outside, and see if it starts turning up inside the cabin?

If took the car all the way down you could be sucking water in your floor drains....or actually have some rust holes down there.
ME:"I want to make my car faster and lighter"
THEM:" Get out and let someone else drive"
Get the hose out and let her run for a while until you can pinpoint where it is infiltrating.
