Does anyone have access to CARFAX and can they run the VIN WBAEG2312MCB73041
Badged as a CSI, Is that Legitimate or just a legacy of some one changing the badging?
Transmission needs some love I Plan on towing it back with a dolly behind a pickup truck. How do you remove the driveshaft?
According to RealOem it looks like it is an 850i - 91 produced in December 1990 for the American market. The CSI came years later.
Fake CSi - those were all 6-speed manuals and only 94-95 in the US.
Driveshaft can be unbolted at both ends, but it involves lowering the exhaust system. My advice is to find yourself a trailer.
'93 850Ci - Mineralweiß Metallic
2001 740iL - Titansilber
ALPINA B7 -Alpinweiß III
...the price of cool ain't cheap!
If it runs ok and the transmission is total toast, probably a pretty good buy at $3k.
My Cars - 1991 BMW 850i - mine for fun, 1993 Saab 900c - mine for fun, 2008 Lexus is250 - my daily driver, 2003 Dodge Durango - my wife's, 1994 Acura Legend - gave it to kid
I believe that CSi emblem is NLA, so don't trash it when you remove it.
1993 850Ci.....18 years & 165,000 miles and counting!
That's a good buy, Contact Wuffer, he has your fender, Transmission and probably every other bit needed, Put a used transmission with the correct fluids should be a very nice car, As mentioned, Take the Csi badge off the rear with some dental floss, They are worth 1 to 2 tanks of gas in good condition.
Carfax says no accidents or anything.
