e31 mechanic in the New York area

Greetings to all my e31 enthusiast. I'm back in the saddle of an 850, this is my 4th one but I tend to sell them before enjoying them in the past, however this time around Im here to stay and found a white with beige int and m parallels but needs some mechanical tlc. I haven't been here in a while but spent the past few days catching up on the forum. I need a mechanic to address some minor issues but I can't seem to find a trusty v12 guru. They all are scared of the monster lol. Im sure you guys have someone. It would be greatly appreciated because I eagerly want to be driving this season. thanks in advance

What kind of TLC? Most things can be completed fairly easily by yourself in the driveway (and you will save a ton of $$$$). I am far from a mechanic, but with the help of this forum, have not yet had an issue diagnosing and repairing things myself (bad maf, master cylinder, intake gaskets, fuel pumps). Don't usually take my 8er out to the island, but will be there for Bimmerstock in Glen Cove on 6/3 (I'm in Stamford). So make sure you get her running nice by then.

I have a fuel leak, break pedal hits the floor probably master cylinder, engine runs super rough and belts squeak probable needs full tune up and all belts replaced and none of the power windows work aside from sunroom which is probably a module. also wanted car to be checked out and given a laundry list so I can start to tackle it one by one. ill be at bimmerstock but most likely with one of my other toys.

Wow, sounds like you do need a little TLC. For the master cylinder, you can use one from a 7 series. I will save you at least $300 for the part. That was one of my first large jobs on my car, so I did a write up on it. It's in the DIY section. (https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...BMW-850i-(e31)). Haven't had to play with electrical, so don't know anything there. Come find me at Bimmerstock. I will be in a red 850i with CT plates (there was another red CSi there last time, but sadly not mine).
