You pretty much nailed it, I was thinking more like 4K. You need to figure shipping plus tax, too. For me shipping would have been about $850, maybe more. Tax is 9.5% in California.

Non mentioned costs,, sales tax on cars, transportation, and safety inspection or smog test, plus vehicle registration plus insurance and if the car is out of state--change the 49 state cat for Cal-CARB approved one--more than one cat--that can be expensive if bringing into to Cal and New York and elsewhere where the cats are not 49 state. Tag another 2 or 3 g's or more on depending on price.

The things we learn here to help make a better informed decision..

Yes , car drives amazing, i took out the tinted windows . Did oil change . And got a set of 14 bbs .but did not installed yet .Paint is not perfect , interior was redone in the past . The m20 feels strong, brake works fine . All lights work . Rust free
I try to post pictures but i dont know how to do it . Im going to be in Pittsburgh in July with my 77 320i if anyone is going let me know 👍

Update on this car for those interested. This week I just bought the car from the ebay buyer in May. He has a couple of BMWs and had to sell one, so this e21 was the last one in, so first one out. Funny thing, I was 2nd place in the ebay auction last time and at that time it was in my hometown and only 10 limes from where I live now in AZ. Now it's in NJ so I have to go and bring it back home.

Yes, no rust for sure here. It's been 115+ the last couple of days; hard for rust to take hold. When I get her back I will be going over her from top to bottom and replacing parts with a bunch of OEM parts I bought for another e21 I was restoring that sent put me in the hospital for a month. (Gas tank fumes exploded in the car while I was in there). When I saw this euro 320 again, I couldn't let it get away again. It will be pampered, driven, and kept.

So I picked the 320/6 up in NJ on Friday night in a rain storm. Left about 11PM and drove her non-stop, 1200 miles to Minneapolis, where she will be staying with my brother for three weeks before I go up and trailer her the rest of the way to AZ. Had no issues at all, other than the terrible highways in Ohio and Indiana. She's got some oil leaks, but nothing bad and nothing that a little TLC won't take care of. I was really impressed with this car. Drivetrain is rock solid and body is rust free. I'll get some pics here in a day or two.
