Decided to go with KW Street Comforts and so far it's been a good choice, although I only have 20 miles on them.
The OEM rims I have are 225x50x17 and replacing with 255x35x19. I'm amazed to say they appear to be a good fit. I'm using 8.5x19ET13 rims (front) and a 5mm spacer. The new tires are 1mm further away from the coil body than the OEM rims, although the new tire is closer due to width. However, the adjuster sits about 1/4 inch away from the tire. The rears are 10" 285/30/19 and there seems to be plenty of clearance.
I think I have the coils set too low, but am not 100% sure. The OEM tires do not hit, and they are the same diameter as the replacements...mostly.
But, the new ones are considerably wider, spanning an extra 18mm further towards the edge of the wheel well. I do not yet know if they rub on the inside at ride height or during compression.....they move free and clear when the vehicle is on jackstands.
What I do know is that the outside edge of the wheel is very close to the outside lip of the wheel well....
So, anyone have experience with this set up? What is safe distance between the wheel well and the top of the tire at ride height? I've got about 1" to 1.25" of distance between the top of the wheel and bottom of the lip of the wheel well.
Anyone see issues in any of the pictures?
You should be safe.
