    Stumped: Right side low beam

    Hey guys,

Long time lurker. First time poster. I own a 2008 E93 which has been great (until lately!). I've been having some issues and i'll break it down below. Have searched for days but unable to find an answer (though am leaning towards FRM--- just want to confirm)

Right side low beam xenon has been out for a few months due to a ballast and more recently water leaked into my left side as well, leaving my vehicle without any headlight function! I decided to tackle it this weekend and basically replace everything. I removed both headlights and replaced the bulbs and ballasts on both the left and right side (as expected, ballast water damage). I also examined the AHL modules and they looked fine. I then plugged them back in (right headlight into right side, left into left side) and only the left side was functioning properly. ????

I then took the right headlight and plugged it into the left side - worked. Plugged the left headlight into the right side - did not work. Confirmed that the lights themselves are functioning and work fine on the drivers left side, but neither work on the right side. Im thinking this is either due to the connector (although my turn signals + halos work on the right side) or the FRM has shut down the circuit.

I have mycarly/icarly/bmwhat app which I used to scan the codes. This is what I get
Right fog light, E90 M3: day time running right defective, PL3 from 7/14 and (SA5A1 or SA896): Brake light broken right
    CODE: 00A8AF

    Low beam broken right
    CODE: 00A8AB

    >>> I can confirm that my right DRL and right brake light are fine.

Disturbed communication with StepperMotorBox left / defective SMC left
    CODE: 009CBF

    >> the left side AHL works fine (i can confirm that)

Thoughts? Me thinks signs are pointing towards FRM needs a circuit reset

forgot to mention; checked both 45A fuses and they're intact.

Update: learned how to use toolset32 and got the necessary equipment. Showed 127 short circuit faults. Reset the counter and everything is fine now.

So the computer shut everything off when it detected the water based shorts to prevent more damage and you had to manually reset before it would work again?
