What to look for after Rear Subrame Bushings

    2001 BMW 525 Touring 185K miles

Did the rear subframe bushings this weekend. Night and day difference. While looking for that problem I found I need to do front tie rod ends, the left front has a slight amount of play.

Rear end feels great but there is still a bit of side to side. Is this potentialy related to the front tie rod ends or??

What other should I be looking for because I only want to take it in to get aligned once?

At 185K everything in your front and REAR is worn out. Now is the time to do it all. Takes a few hrs and some tools but it is NOT a big complicated job.
You are at the point of decision. Do I invest my in car and drive it? Do I replace a few totally worn parts and hope the rest do not fail anytime soon. Do I bail on this car at this point, take the hit on resell and then go look for something else?
Factors to consider: Body rust? Wear and tear on the interior? Paint? Long term keeper or just a cheap ride? Sell and buy something else is always a option.

If you choose to invest, here is a link to help you down the path of what is required in a DIY world, as I just completed this task a few months back:https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...6-Wagon-update

If you did the bushings already, do the ball joints and the upper arms while you're at it. Like others said, at this mileage most of everything is worn out and can benefit from a refresh
