    Question MAF's

I have looked at many posts on this topic, and thanks to this forum it got me to the issue with my car (BMW 850I 1991) which was one of the MAF's . I am now looking to fix the problem, ie replace the MAF.
I have looked at the dealer price which is real money, so I have some questions, can you buy genuine Bosch MAF's from other sources. My part number is bmw 13627527525, or Bosch 0280212025.
Are there companies out thier that can refurbish these (and has anyone had any done).
Should you replace these in pairs, or any other advice .

If in need to I will go to the dealer, but would like to check what others do before I spend this sort of money
    Many thanks

You do not have to purchase in pairs, Buy a used one, Good to have a spare, My used replacement is going on years.
