Stock lug bolt for BMW "Style 66" rims is 12x1.50/26mm - OK to use 12x1.50/28mm?

I'm installing a new set of (4) BMW "Style 66" rims on my stock E39, and the recommended BMW OE Genuine wheel lug bolts are listed as BMW part no. 36136781150 (black finish).
From everything I've been able to look up, these OE BMW lug bolts are listed as size 12x1.50/26mm.

I'm considering adding, to each wheel, a lug bolt wheel lock, but they only come in the smallest size length of 28MM (12x1.50/28mm) …. that would be "2mm" over the stock called for lug bolt length.

Am I wrong in assuming that the "2mm" difference shouldn't make any real difference since its only .078" longer (...or 2/16-3/16" longer)?

    Probably would be OK.
The easy way to tell would be to thread one of them in (wheel removed) to the wheel flange and then slowly turn the flange by hand until it hits something, but IIRC there isn't anything behind the flange for maybe 1/2" or so.
Measure and compare to your original stud and you'll know.
