No power to fuel pump fuse #18 after 0bd1 s52 swap into 95 m3 with original harness.

ive pretty much have read every thread possible and cant figure it out. Everything was working before s52 swap. Swapped over everything from crankshaft sensor cam sensor and put on adapter for water temp. Fuel pump doesn't prime when i turn the key, but cranks. Jumped my fuel relay, pump goes on with power to fuse 18 (12v). I have spark , fuel pulse and power to fuel pump plugs. Dme and fuel Relays are good. Everything was labeled properly during swap. Only thing i havent check is fuel pressure. Cps read around 500 ohms. I have power to dme. I'm just not getting power to fuel pump fuse #18. Any suggestions would help. Thanks

    Disable EWS.

No code on the DME computer? Possible clogged filter? Does the E36 car alarm disable the starter or fuel pump?

When you jumper the relay and pump goes on with power to fuse 18 (12v) does the car start?

if it does there are only two wires to activate the relay, are they OK?

No codes but randomly threw 1281 today then disappeared , m3 was made 7/94 so no ews. 12v to fuse when I jump relay, and 12v to fuel pump.

I thought my obd1 M3 didn't have EWS either, when I finished my s52 swap I had the same issue. I clipped the EWS wire and it fired up right away.

FYI The dia was a E30 (it was posted on a e46 page) ... E36 are not easily found.

Note When you jumper 30 and 87 the fuse @ C114 is powered, but the relay is controlled by pins 86 and 85 which is from the DME.

If the car is not starting the DME must be blocking another circuit not just the pump relay

You think it could be a dme problem? It was throwing 1281 code

1995 was the change to add EWS. Early 95 do not have it but may be wired for it.

E36 dig are not as easy to follow need to see the 3 sheets attached

I'm confused. There's no such thing as an OBD I S52. The S52 is OBD II, you might drop it into an OBD I chassis, but if you do they you are expected to bring the chassis to OBD II specifications. The smog nazis want you to make the car comply with the newer standard if the engine is changed, this means you have to make an OBD I engine into an OBD II engine, or an OBD I car into an OBD II car. When the swap is done, everything has to be OBD II, else the smog check will go south.

That's a state by state restriction. NY does not have that requirement for OBDI cars and there is no emissions check for annual inspection, its essentially just a visual safety check. Seatbelts, some sort of functional exhaust piping (cats not required) and working lights.
It will vary wherever you go, but around here you can swap whatever you want into a car older than model year 1995.
