07 328 - I replaced the VC and now getting rough idle and getting a lot of thick white smoke on hard acceleration. I'm thinking either crankcase breather hose or the PCV (this one is built into VC). When I open the oil fill cap no pressure at all? I believe I should get some vacuum? I'm getting the following codes;
29E0
29E1
29DO - misfire a couple different times but haven't came back moved coils and hasn't happened again?
2d06 - Cleaned MAF has come back
I'm thinking either bad VC or bad PCV I pulled the spark plugs and the threads had oil - not in hole just threads. I'm losing oil out tailpipe(down about a quart) I drove about 70 miles no problem then I made a right and pushed a little and that's when I hear the click and the plume of smoke. I get some on cold start but not all the time.
Did you ever solve this? This problem came up for me as soon as I buttoned up my valve cover gasket. The only code I have is the 2D06 code and my smoke does not smell sweet. It seems like I am burning oil as I went from 75% of the min-max bar to under the minimum amount in a few days. I'm stumped, I am assuming I am going to have to just re-do the valve cover gasket since I ended up just re-using the valve cover.
White smoke means coolant. Sounds like a vacuum leak. Cover not seated right? spark plug gaskets not seated properly? VC warped? Crack on the CCV hose? Crack on the CV? MAF could be due to poor vacuum. Eccentric shaft gasket? Oil on the plug threads is from the spark plug gaskets or the eccentric gasket leaking down. Keep us updated.
