    Turbo 328is Exhaust

Whatre you guys with turbo e36s running for exhaust setups? Going to be in need of one soon and I’d like to hear what you guys are running for ideas. I’m not one to shy away from sounds, so long as its not obnoxious. So whats out there?

I welded mine together 3 inches all the way back. I at first put a single magnaflow xl turbo muffler on and I thought it was too loud, especially because I live in a picky neighborhood, so then I added a straight magnaflow muffler in front of the other, did next to nothing. Now I’m running the magnaflow straight through into a borla proxs and I’m really liking the sound of it, not too loud at idle but when you get on it it sounds mean as it should.

no cat on mine btw. Might add one just to quiet it down a little more.

Mine was 3" from the turbo back, no cats or resonators and a borla muffler. It was not loud at all until I stepped on it. Recirculated wastegate as well.

This is exactly what i was thinking of, good to hear some positive experience with it. I knew i wanted to go catless and 3” it was more a matter of what else after that. I’m looking for something i can drive around and not be killed with a drone but still get a mean sounding rip down the street when i want.

3.5" Turbo back into a vibrant 4" dual tip muffler. Imagine the sound of a supra but much more deeper.

3" stainless steel downpipe, v-band section so I can slip in a cat for "visual inspection", then to a magnaflow muffler with 4" dynomax tip.
