To answer the question on why this wasn't 3D printed, I did look into it but that tech wasn't as abundant in 2008 as it is now. However I did make the first generation with plastics cast from silicone molds.
Eh, plastics don't like heat over long period of time sitting on top of the dash. So I moved to poly resins which are far more stable.

The gauges might be a little too "sunken" unless you plan to swap out the current placeholders for "short sweep" meter movements...
I think the middle gauge would look better if it were higher than the two on sides.
