I try to be a good person but on occasion I take comfort in the reality that not all of us set similar standards for ourselves.
When I look at my garage tonight I’ll not beat on myself about the handful of projects / piles of what some would describe as “crap” but I consider of items of perhaps hidden great potential.
Sunkenpods, I will never be able to “unsee” the many items of great potential you show in the background of your pod project pictures and I salute you.

Tried upholstery on one old design with the leather. This was a junk pod and my first try in upholstery so don't judge.

This is the most judgement free thread on the internet and I think that is already a hug accomplishment.

I'm no expert in 3D printing etc, but this does seem like a worthwhile route to persue - I'm sure getting even curves will be easier if done in CAD and 3D printed than trying to do it in fibreglass?

Here's a pic of the current status of the sunken pod as well as one of my garage for the ones who like seeing my garage.

Previous pictures are just mocked up, resting on one another, not connected

Serious question, is this something someone can design in CAD and have 3D printed?

Yes, I had started a design but since I have no intention of putting a gauge pod in my car, I gave up. Ideally you would need a large 3D printer on hand to test print the designs and it would likely need to be printed in a few pieces that would then be glued together.

tinkercad.com is free if you want to give it a try.
