The instructions state to go to Device Manager, then Ports (COM & LPT). My computer does not have that option.
Make sure you have cable plugged in to laptop (any usb port) when you attempt this.
It is a software defined com port number, and your (Windows) computer will have the option. What windows are you on?
See if this helps:
Connection Troubleshoot.pdf
It can be any COM port number, as long as it matches what is written in the OBD.ini file found in C:\ediabas\bin folder.
Let us know if you need help reaching Device manager.
