I’ve already read about the 5 speed swap procedure. My question is, is there anything different about swapping 5 speed from a car without traction control to an automatic with traction control? Thanks
You can add all the traction stuff to a non trac motor. To the chassis it self is prob a big project. If you have trac in your car already the only problem I had doing my 5spd swap in 11/95 wagon is I had to use the standard transmission asc computer. I ready this in a few places that I had to use it and sure enough I started my car yesterday after the swap and the triangle was on... swapped the manual computer and system worked... don’t ask my why as bother comps had the same numbers
Me E30 87/ 325i + F25 12/ M-Sport + E32 94/ 740i

Ah yes I see what your asking! Yes it would, just make sure you swap the throttle body from your 94 (auto) to 95 (man)
you will see what I mean when swapping, the asc (94) has a second throttle body on it. Transfer that to your new motor and you should be good as that’s the only part on the motor that the asc triggers . You may need a manual asc computer as I had to with mine. Hope this helps !

im going the other way around. The 95 is a complete car with manual trans. Only thing missing is the interior. I’m going to swap these into the 94 which has traction control. Also. Does anyone know of a good shop in South Carolina or North Carolina that is experienced with these swaps? I could do it, but don’t have the means or time to do it myself.
If I’m doing the manual swap, do I need a dme from a manual trans car? Have been reading about slightly undesirable performance with the auto dme in a manual swap
