Lol..... After a month I finally got the cylinder head bolted down properly. And onto the next step... And of course I snapped 2 of the studs for the camshaft bearing caps... Lmao... I think for one, I misread the torque value. It should have been 10ft lbs, and I was using 14... I was also using my 1/2in torque wrench, so in hindsight that was probably a mistake also 😂
.. and now I get to wait another week for more parts before moving forward, sigh...
This gives you time to have a beer or two!
Yes, the spec is 14 Nm (10 ft/lb)., and a 1/2 drive isn't right for that torque.
I hope you are being extremely careful with tightening those nuts. The cam must be brought down perfectly square, each nut tightened 1/4 turn at a time, in sequence, unless you're using the official tool which holds down the cam. These cams are hollow, and will break very easily.

Yes I was very careful about doing it in proper sequence. I believe I had the second and 6th lobes resting on the lifters. Then I tightened each nut a little at a time. I got everything hand tight. I was very careful up until the point where I used a 1/2in torque wrench and misread the torque values lol.
While we're on the subject, I'll be needing to get a new torque wrench and I was looking at the digital torque reader that just attached to your rachet or whatever... Already own the 1/2in, should I just get the 3/8th or the digital? Just never used the digital one and not sure of the cons
