FOR SALE: 1981 323i, LOTS of parts

Time has come for me to leave the vintage BMW fold. At least for now. Car hobby and business has taken me in a different direction. So, it is with mixed emotions that I present the following for your consideration:

The Car: (pictures below) 1981 323i. Modified for fast road use. 2340 lbs. Very nice bodywork. Never hit. M20 with chip, headers, aluminum flywheel. Spartan interior. Hard springs & bushings. Genuine BMW Motorsport quick ratio steering rack [2.4 turns lock-to-lock]. Coilovers. G245 5 speed, NEW driveshaft, guibo. Adjustable rear subframe. 3.45 LSD, recently rebuilt by trans & diff specialist. Lots of new body rubber, lenses, etc. Like new Sparco Evo GRP fixed-shell seats. Custom DOM 6-point roll bar. No cup holders. No radio. No AC. No PS. NO BS. Guaranteed to scare your mother. With some detail finishing, this car can be a very nice outlaw-type street machine, or take it ‘the rest of the way’ for serious track work.

Buy the car for $9323. Or buy some parts, list below. Or make me an offer on the whole ball of wax.

THIS CAR HAS BEEN SOLD. Thanks for looking! Still have lots of parts for sale - see below:

Thanks for looking. I have fallen out of the Bimmerforums habit, but will try to check this post at least twice a day. Meantime, if you want to reach me directly, please use email: blair@rocketworkscars[dot]com or give me a call: [541]5five6-314three.

Did you ever dyno the car as it is now ? Interested to see how the afm and chip compare to a miller maf conversion.

I really want a 320 / 6 now. I just need to finish my project so my eyes quit wandering.

Just out of curiosity, based on what youre asking and the quality of the car, did you consider BAT? I always wanted to participate on that, at the other side of the coin I dont think I could put up with the peanut gallery of BAT commenters.

I feel like Blair's car would do well on BAT... I was thinking about selling my '88 535is on there, but its far from perfect, and i always envisioned the commenters as angry villagers with torches and pitch forks, so I'm trying to sell it locally.

I haven’t had the car on a dyno since the swap, but this is a pretty common cocktail. If I were estimating, I’d figure around about 185 to 190 at the crank.

    Cheers,
    BW

    Hi Jared,
I’m with you (and Morty) - I dig BaT but I don’t relish the idea of selling a car there. Its a tough crowd for sure!
Its my first cup of coffee ritual though, checking BaT.
    Cheers,
    BW

I would love to by the e21 323i M20 6 cyl., but i'm too far away (Chile!), so shipping would be quite expensive ... or not?
