Search fail - Trying to sew the corners of my after market soft top windows

Three hours of searching for a post I know is here.

I have an aftermarket soft top that should be good for 3-4 years if I can repair the corners of the window where the thread if giving out and has broken. I will be needing to make a sewing awl and get a good thread that will stand up to the sun.

There was a thread here about the exact issue that I am having and it suggested needle sizes and thread sizes and types. Does anyone have this thread? I sure could use it. What I mostly need is the thread info. I can handle the masculine part of the sewing but don't know what thread to use.

If you have someone near you who sews boat tops they would probably give you some thread. The size should match the needle size. Show them what you are working with.
