How's it going guys? Was wondering if anyone has any info on the length of the driveshaft for a 1jz e36 with the r154 tranny. .. I've been told to put the engine and tranny in the car and measure it... trust me, the thought did cross my mind, but have the rear end off the car to replace all the bushings and adding the reinforcement plates...
I know this swap has been done a million times over... but there's really no info on the length of the driveshaft out there... it's crazy. ..lol.. So if anyone out there has access to this info... can you please help me out. ..
Almost forgot. ..I know it depends on the mounts your using, but there's not much difference in the mounts. .. you can pretty much move the engine forward or back, depending on what you need. .. any help will be appreciated. Thanks
get your rear end in and measure from output shaft flange face to diff flange face, call up driveshaft shop and tell them the length in inches and what transmission and rear end your using. then decide if you want steel, alum, or carbon fiber shaft. theres no set driveshaft length as it differs depending on what mounts you use.
I woudn't risk it, wait till rear end is back in and measure
