I am looking at buying new hoses for my 1988 e34 which is equipped with an m20b25 engine. i was hoping to replace the rubber with silicon but cannot find a kit that specifies its compatibility with an e34. on inspection the hoses appear to be similar if not identical but i figured there may be differences i haven't noticed. are there differences between the coolant hoses of the e30 and e34? thanks
I am going to say maybe. Now the ones that are engine specific, say from the water pump to the thermostat housing sure. Anything else will be a shot in the dark as the motor in the E-34 will sit further away from the radiator. But if you really want to know for sure, use the cross index here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=11_0794
