Manual or auto.

I get 24 on a high-speed trip, and 15-17 around town with my non-VANOS engine.

About that around town in our 2000 540iT. We get 22-24 mpg on road trips.

I get somewhere between 17 to 20mpg on local roads and upto 25mpg on a longer run

It's still fun to chime in.

I drive my car approximately 7 miles per day. The dash tells me 12 mpg. I did drive to Illinois last week and put on about 900 miles. That brought things up to 17 mpg, but we're creeping back down now.

I do mostly city driving and get 15 to 16 mpg according to the OBC. (Automatic transmission). Never really measured mpg for a true highway venture.
