How do I prevent air from coming into the cabin thru the rubber window seals? I have made numerous adjustments without resolving the problem. Has anyone had this issue and how did you resolve it? There are 2 photos (drivers & passenger side) with a piece of paper showing where the air is entering the cabin. Thanks in advance for the help.
When you close your door, the windows go up a little bit afterwards, correct?

Not on a Roadster (at least mine never have...that's a Coupe thing that leads to regulator demise). I'd start by treating the hardtop seals with a Gummi stick and go from there.

Otherwise the rubber may be gone beyond conditioning, but it's available:

looking at your pictures it looks like the hard top is not centered on the car left to right. Did you have to install the mounting hardware to fit the hard top or was it there al ready? I did adjust my front mount on my car the PO had tried to screw in the wrong bolt an messed up the threads. I had a slight gape in front that caused win noise. Does every thing line up in front?
Think global, drink local, drive a convertible
I think windows can be adjusted too.
Your whole hardtop needs to be positioned further forward. You can do that by slightly loosening the screws in the front of the top, then loosen the bayonet spikes and re-tighten them further rearward on the top.
You should probably go through the steps to align the hardtop. It takes time and patience, but it's worth it. Mine wasn't aligned properly when I got the car and one of my windows would never auto-close. After the alignment the windows work fine and there's even noticeably less wind noise.
You can find a post about it here: https://zroadster.org/articles/bmw-z...96-to-2002.74/
And the official install and alignment instructions are here: https://zroadster.org/wp-content/upl...op-Fitting.pdf
Yes. the top itself needs to be aligned using the instructions from BMW. If you have done that then the windows can be adjusted inward by loosening the bolts at the bottom of the door.
Lastly the rubber seals can be shimmed outward.
