    Hello everyone,
I have picked up a new daily a 2004 325xi with 110k on it with great maintenance history. My E32 has a leaking HG and is pending rebuild/build and I needed a newer daily. I test drove the car today and looked everything over and am picking it up tomorrow. It has a couple minor things, first off the lock button in the center console did not work when pushed with driver door closed so my first step is to rebuild the switch. Secondly, the radio controls on the steering wheel did not work (did not have enough space for cruise control) which my first guess is a fuse. Third, the rearview mirror is leaking so I went ahead and ordered a new used one. The sunroof clips need replacing too, where do I get the knowledge for that since I don't have a bentley manual yet. Okay done with the minuscule issues. How difficult is it to retrofit the nav system into one without? I won't be using the map I just prefer the look over the tiny radio.

I'm being brief..although it may be difficult for me.......A year ago I bought from a used dealer in Boston a 2003 325XI wagon. It had 116k...similar in milage to yours. I made my trip up from because he told me everything worked. He was correct. I paid 5k for the car. Now with 130k, all continues well. I researched this car from it's VID....not carfax. ........The car had never service record...it had the original tires, and only a vague oil change history......My advise...Before buying a BMW, or any car, research the year and model of your choice...a lot! BMW is a high maintenance automobile. You either fix it yourself, or you have a lot of money to pay someone to do it for you....or buy brand new...and buy the extended dealer services..a well worth it!
