E31 LS Swap (temp gauge connection)

I made an LS swap on my 95 840ci..
I’m trying to use all factory gauges, all are working except the temperature gauge!!
Can someone please tell me how to connect the factory temp gauge in this case?

If I recall correctly, the stock BMW gauge threads are identical to those in the LS head, so you can screw the BMW sensor right in. I assume you'll have to extend the wiring harness as it's probably in a different location on the LS vs the BMW.

Use a 96+ e36 temp sensor. You may have to get the connector as well, but it is easier to change the wiring than it is to tap the LS head and not have it leak.

The LS temp sensor is M14x1.5
