    M20B25 head bolt reuse?

    Hi there

I have recently put a new head onto my m20 block and torqued the bolts on, half way through doing the bolts i realised that the angle gauge i was using wasn't working the way it was suppose to. my question is this, i know that head bolts are one use only but due to the engine have not being turned on and the bolts not heated/ cooled can i loosen them and restart the torquing sequence? or do i need to buy another set? thanks

If you were into the final angle torque stage, you must not reuse the bolts. If you were on the first 90 degrees, you should be fine reusing them.
