    88C temp switch P/N?

    Hey,
Doing my own electric fan conversion (DIY write-up included) and wanted to know what the P/N is for the low temp aux fan switch that screws into the side of the radiator. I have searched realOEM to no avail.

    Thanks,
    Singing6

I'm really interested in how you plan to wire it. I have an electric fan that my PO installed that uses a bulb in the rad hose, he also removed that switch because idiot PO
I bought the lower temp switch to fit thinking one day I'll fix the electric fan conversion neatly , ie removing his bulb, capillary and external thermostat and somehow wire it to that switch.

I've looked at the relay box for the aux fans and thought if worst comes to it there's a spare spot for another relay (for my existing one) there. My biggest problem has been I don't want the factory aux fan to run on low at the same time as the aftermarket rad fan as it won't be necessary, and don't want to disable the low speed aux fan for air con purposes.

I'm still thinking about 'how'. I've been putting it off for ages but if I have to replace my thermostat and overflow tank for unrelated issues anyway then now is the time to work something out permanently and get rid of the bulb relay, capillary and thermostat hanging off the firewall.
I used the same pn as shogun listed but it was ~$30 elsewhere.

I did a Taurus fan mod on my old '95 540i using a volvo electric fan relay. Use the stock radiator temp switch.
