    Bimmerworld E36 non-M spherical endlinks

For those running these endlinks on the front sway bar, how long do they last for you before they seize up?

I've had mine on my car for 2 years now, maybe 6k miles and zero salt. It does get driven in the rain though. I've replaced one heim joint, but now the other three are also seized up. Not frozen solid, but not as free as the new one I have. Should I not worry at all since the suspension forces will far overpower the resistance of my "seized" joints?

I have (homemade) spherical endlinks, and have never had one seize. Mine wear and start to get a little slack in the joint, which I don't rush to replace. When they start getting noisy (clink clink over bumps) is when I tend to replace them, I think that's about every 50 or so track days.

Hmm, I thought the purpose of the spherical endlinks is so they don't fail as often as the stock rubber ones? I would say I have 50 days of track time; it was 2-years of autocross and a handful of track events.

I should just start buying the replacement parts from McMaster. Will be much easier than ordering from Bimmerworld every time.

    Cause race parts.

Well made rubber bushings will almost always outlast non-lubricated, non-protected spherical metal to metal joints. The advantage of metal spherical is that there's less play.

McMaster is my go to also.

I had some PowerGrid endlinks that used an OEM-like ball joint. They wore out after less than two seasons. I've had the Bimmerworld endlinks with the big sphericals for a season and they're still good so far. My biggest gripe though is that they use a 3/8" rod end and a metal bushing to adapt to the 10mm hole in the strut. It's a pain in the ass, i wish they just used metric endlinks. (The Powergrids had proper 10mm studs).
