E92 Active Autowerke SC tune questions

I'm curious about the tuning options for the Active Autowerke Generation 2 Supercharger Kit - Level 2. This is for an E92 M3.

It says that it comes with Active Autowerke dyno-tuned software. There are two things I'm curious about the tune.

Is the tune good for different elevations? I ask this because I had a friend with an S2000 that ran great at sea level, but it needed re-tuned at 4,600 feet. I understand these are completely different platforms, but will I need to work with Active Autowerke to get the tune good for this elevation?

The second thing I'm curious about, is if there is any benefit to a custom tune? I would think that Active knows their product the best and therefore would tune it the the highest level or reliable horsepower. Does anyone have any experience with custom tunes on these kits? Was the custom tune better, worse, the same power level or did you get a custom tune for other reasons?

I'm open to hear any suggestions and the reasons behind the suggestions. Thanks.

It is their kit they should have all the answers for you. Call them. Looks like their "off the shelf" tune has some safety margin in it for reliability, envelope can be pushed with more risk with custom tune. I am sure you would love to blow up your M3
